Left: drawing the general shape from different povs with the grid was almost essential. I found myself saying the cells i want to start the stroke from. I wonder if this is a good practise? Worry comes from me trying to be too literal in copying the reference. But I think it helped create the right shaded shape.
Right: shading is so hard? i dont know, the convex and concave petals just dont feel like they have the depth to them like the refernece does. What am I doing wrong? is it that the supposed-to-be-concave (top) has the shade too close to the edge?
